Thanks for doing this video.. it was great. Love the idea of using the pulp from the juicer for flat bread. I am leary of buying sprouts in the store, past media talk about ecoli in them. I could grow my own?? Also do you have recommendations for a juicer? I just started taking org. kelp and want to find nori, where in store would that be? This was a very inspirational video. Hopefully it will push me into more healthy eating. Thank you so much

yup, greens are the hardest to get into me.

Great video… I’m trying to acquire a taste for greens, I never ate them as a child (literally never) so its hard to adjust to it now. But I feel the best when I eat greens, so I need to make the effort! Besides for yoga, how much do you usually do in a day? I don’t think I could ever live off of that few calories, but then again I got a little rugrat to run after all day!

Awesome message. I always need to have my green shakes cause it helps so much in my workouts. Thank you so much for sharing and have a great weekend :)

Thanks for the idea on pulp. I always feel wasteful when putting in the compost pile.
I did not grow up vegetarian but always ate tons of veggies growing up.
Can never get enough of them.
With high amounts of fruit in diet it makes me sluggish so I have adjusted more towards high green. No problems there.
With sprouts I have to large jars growing at all times. That way I never run out : )

do you ever get bored with the routine of what you eat everyday?
brainsteww on February 20, 2010 at 5:13 am
how many calories is that? i find it hard to get enough calories on a raw diet… i’m worried about the so-called “starvation mode”

Hi Natasha, any recommendation on how to shop for fruit and veggies if we were to eat like you? You must store alot of veggies in a fridge huh?

@brainsteww On raw food, just eat when u are hungry, u don’t have to worry about ‘calories’ (the amount of heat it takes to boil an ounce of water). u won’t overeat on a raw diet, just graze and don’t look back.
brainsteww on February 26, 2010 at 12:23 am
thank you :)
i am more worried about getting too FEW calories… but i think i will just try to listen to my body. my appetite has been increasing anyway~ hehe
Chrisisms on February 26, 2010 at 6:07 am
brainsteww Well if you’re starving I guess u can’t be picky.
But for those looking for biochemically compatible food; beans, meat, dairy, etc are unnatural/unhealthy and though it sounds reasonable to ‘listen to my body’, unless a thorough detox is done with biochemically compatible food, that’s as good as just continuing an addiction as the body has been assaulted for years on acidifying, addictive food. Without experience of a reference on a natural diet, proprioception doesn’t serve.

non organic young coconuts are dipped in fermahldehide (spelling?) so i never get non organic ones. you can get organic online

So don’t worry about snacking? That’s my problem now and I can tell you that I’m feel awful when I eat meat now. I’ve stopped red meat. But now if I eat turkey or even salmon, I don’t feel good.
Chrisisms on March 9, 2010 at 8:33 pm
@NoSaltyPeanuts If you’re eating raw lettuce, sprouts, fruit and flowers you can’t overeat. If you’re including nuts just be careful.
It’s natural to feel awful when consuming meat, it isn’t digested properly. It reflects having detoxed from it.
Turkey and salmon are digested similarly to meat and once detoxed they are repulsive to consume too.
Sinus trouble and body odor are greatly reduced within a few days of slashing protein intake on a raw diet with little or no nuts.

Is frozen corn better to eat than canned?
Girl4God2 on March 11, 2010 at 6:52 pm
In my experiences, I’d have to yes, frozen corn is better because canned could be contaminated with BPA. which is bad for your body.

I tried to eat 2.5lbs of greens 2day 3apples, 1tbsp of coconut oil, 2tbsp of sunflower seeds, avocado, tomato, 1/4 small onion, fresh coconut water, coconut meat, , cantaloupe, and was gonna eat this treat that i just made with 1/2cup soaked nuts, dates, vanilla, sea salt, lemon juice, dehydrated coconut meat but now i don’t know if that will be over doing it?
picklesloveslight on May 20, 2010 at 2:23 am
I hope my body will get accustomed to striving on so little .. does the green juice taste any good?

Another reason to avoid the Vegan Diet is EFA deficiency, primarily DHA/EPA. Plant based Omega3 efa, known as Alpha Linolenic acid has to be converted for your body to use as DHA/EPA, this conversion rate in humans is very low, usually at a rate of 1-4%. Jesus, the saviour of the world ate fish, it should be ok for everyone else.
