DigInfo – www.diginfo.tv Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH1 At Photo Imaging Expo 2009, Panasonic exhibited a digital SLR with interchangeable lenses and Hi-Vision movie capability, called the LUMIX DMC-GH1. The GH1 is compact and lightweight like the G1, with W Live View, which automatically switches between a moveable LCD monitor and live viewfinder. This digital SLR also has Hi-Vision capability, with a user-friendly, advanced Full Auto mode. The GH-1 uses two Hi-Vision recording formats AVCHD, which has high affinity with AV equipment, and Motion JPEG, which has high affinity with PCs. Also, the feature called Omakase iA, where the camera automatically recognizes the subject and sets an optimal exposure and focus, can be used for video as well as still photography. The LUMIX DMC-GH1 is scheduled for release in Japan on April 24, 2009.
