Did you restored this watch? Very good job with the close up shots and your narration was perfect? I wonder how this watch would look in a black leather band…overall very cool watch.

@sdimmlic Thank you very much for the nice comment. This watch was not restored, just kept in very good condition (except for the chipped crystal). It is very classy and could very will be fitted nicely on a black or brown leather strap.

what does moonphase do? tell the position of the moon?
KeepTheTime on August 29, 2011 at 6:57 pm
@t3kn0l0v3r The moonphase indicator displays the phase of the moon. ie: full moon, first quarter moon, half moon, last quarter moon, new moon…

@KeepTheTime thank you, i feel like an idiot asking but i just wanted to make sure, how would this mechanism work? just like gears on a normal clock? or is there some other way IE magnetic polarities.. lol im pretty sure im over thinking this

I love timepieces with complications. I think that this Seiko, the Daytona and the Bell & Ross Aerospace (1990′s) are the nicest looking. This Seiko is built so well too with steel rotors and the like.
The 7A48-7000 model is nice too, but the 5000 IS THE nicest.
