This is my first vegetable garden and I would like to know when is it a good time to start tilling? Should you till after a good rain and/or wait a day or two? How should the ground be overall before tilling?

One was planted a few years ago and they have since multiplied and grow like weeds through out the spring and summer. They are taking over my garden!

I am starting from scratch. I am taking part of a field and turning it into a garden. What should the first step be? Plowing? I do have access to a tractor. Is there something that needs to be done before plowing? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

With the new water restrictions, I was just wondering what days I am allowed to water my garden. I think it’s odd or evens, not sure.

What can I do while preparing my rose garden to keep ants out? They have killed several roses I’ve had in pots – even hollowed out some of them!

I have 100ft of garden space that I need to weed. I want to do it organically so I don’t hurt the animals

I only have a few container veggies, but we own 2 peacocks that love to eat them. Please help. I would really love some natural methods. My garden is organic.

I live in Southwest Michigan and I am a freshly turned vegetarian. I think it would be beneficial for my health a little bit. My father used to garden when we first moved in, and we have a large, long spot. I was just curious when is a good time to start planting and what I should be planting.

I’m starting a garden of plants with bright colors and cool shapes and I kind of got inspiration from reading about the garden at the Burrow as described in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. What’s a really cool (and kind of spooky) gnarled up and twisted tree that would add a unique twist to a garden?
by gnarled, I mean that the trunk is knotted and twisted as well, not just the branches.

Hi all, we are getting ready to get some uncharacteristically cold weather for this region. My veggies out in the garden are still rather small and I don’t want them to die. What are some ideas to protect them?
