My back garden is about 20′ by 10′, covered in 12inch grass, a clothes line stuck in the middle and a small slab of concreted ground in one corner. Where can I start and how?

After paying this winter’s utilities we definately need to winterize our home better. What kind of a company does weatherization estimates and would tell us exactly what we need to repair or do to our home to lower next year’s heating bills?

I love to garden but I am having a hard time finding a seed or seedling company that ships outside the continental US. I live in a town with only one small plant nursery, but the selection is extremely limited. I live in Zone 4, so the area is still warm enough to grow most plants.

I really want to plant a beautiful flower garden that will come back ever spring. I just dont know when to begin.

What is involved in moving a mobile home? How big a truck is required, can anyone do it? Are there legal issues with towing a mobile home (I’m in Eastern Iowa)? Any idea how much it’d cost if I hired it? What should I look for on in a mobile home if I am sure that I will move it as soon as I own it?

There are a lot of stray cats in my area. I am going to be creating a garden for the first time and I am certain that at least one of the many stray cats in the neighborhood will enjoy making my garden a toilet.

How do I keep them out? Is a Remington the only answer?

I have a dog that is home during the day in the house and i need something that will make my house smell new again. I know i can rent a steam cleaner but i need something fast and easy and not to expensive that will work wonders.

I am new to this gardening thing and I want to have a vegetable garden so that we have vegetables and fruit from early summer through late fall. I know that each vegetable has it’s own PH requirements. How do I prep the soil for all the things I’m wanting to plant? Is there a fertilizer that I should use that would be good for a wide range of veggies? I live in northern Ohio. When should I start prepping the soil? When should I plant? Should I plant a second time during the season to ensure that I have veggies into the fall? What should I plant? The area I want to plant is roughly 15 X 20 ft.
We live in an area of northern Ohio that has extremely fertile farm. The soil is dark brown/black and not very much if any clay. We have high sulphur in our water so I’m assuming that the ground has a high sulphur content as well.
