I’ve heard that processed sugar is "poisonous" to the human body. Can anyone explain why or link me to a reliable source?

CHALLENGE!: Give me a reputable source that is NOT a new-age health or anti-food industry establishment site, please. I need REAL nutritional skinny on this!

My friend is 25 years of age and is suffering from severe depression. She has been in thereapy for 3 years with three different therapist and has also been on anti-depressants for 2 years and nothing seems to be helping. She was taking Zoloft, Paxal, and Laxapro but none of the medications worked no matter how high the doctors increased the dosage. She is extremely depressed about a number of things. She has low self-esteem because people always criticise her apperance and says that she’s ugly which she is not in my opinion. She just looks like an average normal person. She hates the way her body looks and she’s very depressed over the fact that she is lonely. She really wants a husband badly. She has never been in a relationship before at her age or have been out on a date before she cries and worries herself to death because she thinks that she will be alone forever. I am really worried I don’t want my friend to committ suicide. I don’t know what to do

I never had any problems with my wisdom teeth and the other day I was eating and cracked my back wisdom tooth, The dentist always told me that if they aren’t bothering me, then I could leave them in. I went and saw an oral surgeon a few days ago and he said he could put me under using demerol and an anti-inflammatory and pull all 4 of them in less then an hour, I know this is routine for teenagers but is it bad for adults? One of the back wisdom teeth is partially decayed but not infected.

I’m just wondering, as I have a medical condition, esophagitis, and there an anti acid so I was wondering if there’s an age limit on it. I’m fifteen, and I could get someone else to buy them for me but I was just wondering because it would be allot easier if I went and got them.

I don’t like people my own age. I find myself disliking my fellow class mates and peers. Everyone is just stupid. No one talks about anything logical or worth talking about. I have friends but I don’t really hang out after school. I can’t really talk to to many people because I find everyone to just be ignorant. I’d rather have a conversation with my teachers than with my class mates. I hate going to crowded places. I go to wal-mart with my mom then get mad because there’s too many people. I don’t like people looking at me, and i hate standing in the lunch line at school. Adults are the only people I can really talk to. Also I’m really smart but I get bad grades in school. I can’t get focused on homework and class work. I just sit there and think about stuff. I don’t think I have ADD because only certain things I can’t remebr and focuse on. My dad might tell me something they 5 minutes later I’ll forget. I think I might be depressed or something. I’m not sure. I’m not goth or anything.
I just like being left alone.Sometimes I’d rather just stay in my room playing video games, reading, or sleeping. I sometimes feel a little afraid of the world. I don’t know if I dislike people, or the things that people do or might do.

* I Do Not ant To Hear From Anti-Marijuana Preachers. I heard it all before.

I am 30 and doing good. No Kids, Not Married, Good Job, Awesome Girlfriend, and finishing up my biology degree in six months. Most of my friends my age seem to have put up the bongs for beer. But I like pot, I try taking liquor shots with my friends and alchohol feels like rat poison to me. Weed doesn’t make me feel sick plus I like the way I can turn on some music and go on a mental journey for a few hours. I just want to hear from normal users or ex-users, does 30 seem a little old to be smoking? As much as I like it, I feel that I could possibly getting a little old to smoke.

I am 28 yrs old and have fair skin. I have never been one for tanning in my younger years & have never gotten sunburned. Everyday I use SPF 15, I wear a hat when going out & in general I avoid the sun like the plague. At a very young age I have been anti-age obsessed, unline the other girls my age who would tan. So you can imagine my shock when on my left cheek I developed a SUN SPOT! First, I can’t imagine how since as I said I take so many precautions. And 2nd, I want to get rid of it. I went to a dermatologist who confirmed it was a sun spot. She put me on Tretioin 0.25% cream. However, creams like Retin-A, hyrdroquinone tend to scare me.For one, I really don’t want chemicals on my face. Hydroquinone has cancer causing properties and is banned for use in Eurpoe. And Retin-A may actually WORSEN hyperpigmentation on spots and can reoccur once you stop using it.
What I am looking for is a NATURAL way that is effective in PERMANENTLY erasing this spot!!!!!!!!!
BTW for anyone who doesn’t know, there is no true SPF higher than 15. They just put that on the package but it’s a hoax. The actual protection doesn’t go any higher.
