This quick video tutorial shows you how to install Snow Leopard using iAtkos S3v2 DVD. Many people asked me which setup options I picked because their installation failed. If you can’t get into the setup you can do following: 1. Make sure your iAtkos DVD is properly downloaded and burned. If you notice that DVD loads please be patient, because it will take a while. If it just restarts or shows still waiting for root device sign (stop icon) then you should try with Boot 132 CD (google it). 2. After you have installed you have to do the following: a) If you checked Quick boot option – boot your partition and keep pressing F8 until it shows the boot menu. Or if you didn’t proceed to step b) b) Enter -v cpus=X busratio=XX (where cpus is number of cpus or cores eg cpus=2 for dualcore processor, busratio=25, try values between 20-29 to see which are working best) “Graphics Mode”=”Your resolution” (with quotations, remember to replace Your resolution with preferred resolution eg “Graphics Mode”=”1280x1024x32@75″ Maybe it just works? Try to boot directly without entering any parameters. If it reboots, then you need to enter them. You can boot without -v to get beautiful Apple boot logo, but it is highly recommended to watch those command lines if something goes wrong.
Since VMware license costs a lot, the good news is that you can now install OS X in Windows using one of the most popular free virtualization software called VirtualBox. You’ll need to have a system with an Intel or AMD processor which supports hardware virtualization, OSX86 iso, VirtualBox and Windows 7, Vista or XP installed as host operating system. If you meet all these requirements, you can then install OS X Snow Leopard as a VM under Windows to enjoy the best of both worlds. Step 1: Download and install the latest version of VirtualBox for Windows From The Link Given Below: bit.ly Step 2: Start VirtualBox and click on “New” button. This will start a wizard that will help you create a new VM in VirtualBox. Step 3: Name your VM “OSX” and select “Mac OS X” from Operating System dropdown menu, and “Mac OS X Server” from Version dropdown menu. Step 4: Assign your VM some Ram in megabytes. For this tutorial, I have allotted the max 1500MB of Ram. Step 5: Now create a new hard disk for your VM, which depending on your needs should be around 20GB in size. If you use Dynamic option, it will expand on use while Static option will be fixed to the size you allotted. Select the option which best fits your needs and click on Next to finish the wizard. Step 6: Now click on “Settings” and select “System” from the left pane and then uncheck the option for “Enable EFI (special OSes only)” in the right as shown in the screenshot below. Step 7: Now select “Storage” from the left pane …
